The computer was running fine when I left. We live about 100 miles apart so it will take a while before I get back on it. Since we were celebrating the 4th with family and friends that's as far as I got then I had to leave. I didn't get to running chkdsk /scan but I had run Error Checking before: it stated "You don't need to scan this drive" but I ran it anyway. Then dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and it came back reporting completed successfully. I ran sfc scannow and it reported System Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Using winver, the computer was on Version 1607 (OS build 14393.1198) and after the upgrade it was on Version 1703 (build 15063.413). Thanks for your advice zbook: I have accomplished this so far.
